How long should a laminate floor last?
Dependent on the quality of the flooring an 8mm laminate floor will last over 10 years in a bedroom but maybe not as long in a hallway.it really does depend on ware and tare. Quick-step and pergo give a 25 year to a lifetime guaranteed on flooring even in high commercial areas.
How do I know if the moisture in my concrete is to high?
First of all, call us and we will test it for you. In a new build the concrete will take approximately one month for every inch of concrete poured unless you have underfloor heating then it will dry a lot quicker.
A handy way of testing concrete. If you cover a small piece of concrete with plastic or a ceramic tile and leave it a couple of days when you lift it if the concrete under neat is a different colour your floor is still damp.
How should I clean my flooring?
There are plenty of floor cleaning products out there. But brushing, hoovering and wiping your floor with a well rung out mop will keep your floor in tip-top condition.
Also, all furniture should have protective pads on so it can slide effortlessly across your floor.
